Responsible for the whole department, directing all the operations in the engineering, electrical and mechanic sections on board by supervising all the personnel assigned to them.

5.000 - 8.600 dollars a month.

Degree of a recognized maritime school, at least 3-5 years of experience in similar or subordinate position on board.

Operation, maintenance and repair of the different engines, boilers, electrical generating plant and distribution system, pumps, hydraulic and fuel systems and, in general, all the machinery. The job demands maintaining of documents and different logs.

4.000 - 5.000 dollars a month.

Degree of a recognized maritime school, 3 to 5 years of experience in similar or subordinate position on board.

Responsible for the maintenance of lubricating system, engine room auxiliaries and electric systems.

3,200 - 4,400 dollars a month.

Degree of a recognized maritime school, at least 3 years experience in similar or subordinate position on board.

Engineer in charge of the fuel and water storage, tank soundings; logs the consumption of water and fuel; and monitors the boiler room, the feed water and pump system.

Possible promotion to second engineer.

2,400 - 2,800 dollars a month.

Degree of a recognized maritime school, at least 2 years experience in similar or subordinate position on board.

Responsible for the operation and maintenance of auxiliary engines, electrical circuits and diverse motors on board.

2,200 - 2,600 dollars a month.
