JOBS ON CRUISE SHIPS

Extensive experience in this position is essential, aboard a ship or in a restaurant or hotel.

Responsible for all of the waiters in and the catering service in a station in the dining room or the restaurant.

2,300 - 4,000 dollars a month, depending on gratuities.

Previous experience in this job or in subordinate position.

Responsible for direct attention to the passengers, offering advice and explanation of the dishes on the menu.

Possible promotion to dining room head waiter.

2,000 - 3,700 dollars a month, depending on gratuities.

Previous experience in similar position.

Responsible for giving assistance to the waiters by making recommendations, taking the meal orders, serving the food, etc., under the direction of the dining room waiters and the dining room head waiter.

The person in this position can be promoted to dining room waiter.

1,400 - 2,200 dollars a month, depending on gratuities.

Accounting education and some experience in the field.

Responsible for the accounting of the bar.

1,400 - 1,700 dollars a month.

Previous experience in the position.

The person in charge of serving alcoholic drinks, refreshments, coffee, etc., to the passengers in the bar, lounges and on the different decks of the ship.

1,200 - 2,300 dollars a month, depending on gratuities.

Entry-level position that requires no previous experience.

General cleaning and maintenance of the bar and its utensils, replacement of the different provisions and assistance to the bartender.

900 - 1,000 dollars a month.
