Responsible for the daily maintenance and repairs of the electric equipment aboard the vessel, such as electrical generators and alternators, electrical parts of the engines, etc; monitors and controls indicators and gauges, recording data for the chief electrician and the engineers. Electrician must be a skilful person and a good troubleshooter, so as to solve any unexpected problem or failure.

Possible promotion to chief electrician.

2,000 - 2,400 dollars a month.

Firemen are in charge of the security in case of fire problems on board.

1,100 - 1,300 dollars a month.

At least 1-year experience in this job.

Responsible for the plumbing systems. Installs, maintains and repairs fresh and salt water, and steam pipes, valves, water closets, sinks, etc.

1,200 - 1,700 dollars a month.

Previous training and extensive experience in this position.

Responsible for the maintenance and repairs of any metal structure aboard the vessel.

2,000 - 2,400 dollars a month.
