Jobs on Cruise Ships

Entry-level position with no experience required.

• General cleaning and maintenance of deck areas and hull, including equipment and machinery, with a special attention to emergency and lifesaving systems.
• General lookout and watching duties.
• Identifying and removing of rust accumulations in deck areas and hull, refinishing affected areas with coatings and paints to repair and prevent the oxidation process.
• Handling and operating of deck equipment, machinery and systems.
• Securing and fastening of cargo, checking for any wear and tear or any other problem or noncompliance that may compromise safety onboard.
• Launching and recovering of boats, lifeboats and rescue boats.
• Handling of ropes and lines during departing and berthing movements of the cruise ship.
• Attending all sorts of safety drills.
• On-the-job training under the control of deck supervisors (AB seaman and boatswain).

1,300 - 2,200 dollars/euros a month (approx.).
