Subsea engineer is responsible for the BOP (Blowout Prevention) and the motion compensation units, and should be competent to locate and repair any problem on any part of them. He is also in charge of deep and ultra deep-water projects and works, such as performing pipeline design calculations and determining wall thickness, bottom stability analysis, pressure testing, tie-in operations, etc. |
