Requirements

Education in hotel management, business administration or related field from a recognized university; minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience at and knowledge of managerial positions in hotels, restaurants and general food and beverage operations onshore; experience in similar positions in the cruise industry; and strong managerial and communication skills.

Duties

Head of the department and responsible for the general supervision of staff, operations and services in all food and beverage areas onboard the cruise ship (general and specialty restaurants, dining rooms, buffets, bars, galley and crew mess and officer’s) to ensure excellent guest service and employee engagement towards sales and revenue maximization according to company policies.

Salary

5,500 - 7,500 dollars/euros a month (approx.).

Requirements

Education in hotel management, business administration or related field from a recognized university; minimum of 3 years of experience in hotels, restaurants and general food and beverage operations onshore; experience in similar positions in the cruise industry; and strong managerial and communication skills.

Duties

Also known as Associate Food and Beverage Director, represents and reports directly to the general manager in the administration and operation of this department, supervising food production and service facilities, and related activities, and the subordinate staff attached to it to ensure the highest possible level of performance, efficiency and service within budget and company guidelines.

Salary

4,500 - 6,500 dollars/euros a month (approx.).

Requirements

Education in hotel management, business administration or related field, or prior restaurant management experience as a substitute; minimum of 10 years of experience at and knowledge of managerial positions in hotels, restaurants and general food and beverage operations both onshore and onboard cruise ships; and strong managerial and communication skills.

Duties

Responsible for the efficient operation of restaurants and food and beverage services throughout the cruise ship towards the achievement of total guest satisfaction in direct communication with the corporate team and their policies in this respect.

Requirements

High School education degree or equivalent; minimum of 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in restaurant, bar and/or casino operations on board cruise ships; all-around knowledge of beverage management and operations, including commercial and product aspects; understanding of accounting and cost principles; and solid interpersonal and communication skills.

Duties

Responsible for the planning and implementation of all operations of the beverage department, including staffing and training, cleanliness, management and repair of facilities and equipment, product storage and general supervision and schedule of day-to-day service and work in bars, cafés, lounges and drink outlets onboard.

Requirements

High School education degree or equivalent; minimum of 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in positions related to bar management, including inventory and control responsibilities; extensive knowledge of brands and quality of liquors, wines and beers, as well as drink recipes; cruise ship experience preferred.

Responsible for the operation and general management of restaurants, dining rooms and any other food outlets on board to ensure a friendly and professional service toward guest satisfaction and productivity, including general supervision of staffing, reservations management and coordination of table guest assignment, budget and inventory.

Requirements

Certification or diploma of hotel, tourism or restaurant management issued by recognized by school, university; minimum of 2-3 years of experience in management of hotel or restaurant services (preferably in the cruise industry); and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with proven adaptability to work in multicultural environment after international experience.

Duties

Directly responding to the Restaurant Manager / Maitre D' in the general and specific organization and supervision of all food and beverage outlets onboard the cruise ship to ensure the excellence in service for an international clientele by implementing all policies and procedures set by the company, replacing him/her when necessary.

2,900 - 5,000 dollars/euros a month (approx.).

Requirements

Sommelier certification or equivalent by recognized institution; degree in hospitality or business administration management or related; 2 to 5 years of experience in the position (shipboard experience preferred), or an equivalent combination of experience and education; excellent wine and beverages knowledge; organization and managerial capabilities, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Duties

Responsible for assisting all the operation positions in the beverage outlets on the ship (bars and lounges, restaurants and dining areas); general supervision and management of wine and drinks collection and service, including inventory, loading and storing of stocks; and specific tasks related to tasting and quality control, and training related to beverages to all personnel attached to the department.

Requirements

Duties

Responsible for providing wine and beverage service to passengers in all food and beverage areas (restaurants, bars, bistros and cafes) onboard the cruise ship – especially in everything related to wine selection, spirits and cigars – supervising the performance of sommeliers and their assistants, and carrying out beverage cost and inventory control under the management of the assistant bar manger and beverage director.
