Basic knowledge of mechanics.

• Lubricating machinery and systems.
• General assistance in the operation of propulsion systems and mechanical equipment.
• General monitoring of controls, indicators and gauges of temperature, pressure and condition of the systems and oil level.
• General inspection, adjusting and maintenance of propulsion plant and equipment (boilers, deck machinery, electrical, refrigeration and air-conditioning, water, hydraulic and sanitary systems).
• Support to bulk fuel transfers, loading and unloading of cargo; and other nautical tasks.

1,200 - 2,200 dollars/euros a month (approx.).
