Subsea Engineer
Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering and background in hydraulics and pneumatics, and extensive experience in subsea control systems.
Subsea engineer is responsible for the BOP (Blowout Prevention) and the motion compensation units, and should be competent to locate and repair any problem on any part of them. He is also in charge of deep and ultra deep-water projects and works, such as performing pipeline design calculations and determining wall thickness, bottom stability analysis, pressure testing, tie-in operations, etc.
Negotiable depending on the contract.
Candidates
Background in mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics with additional training for this position, extensive experience in positions related to this field aboard offshore installations.
Responsible for carrying out all the works and tasks underwater as directed by the subsea engineering or his assistant. They inspect and repair the different submarine installations and machinery. They are also in charge of the diving equipment.
Around 60,000 dollars/euros a year.
